Room Tone
A rehearsal room engineer in Thonburi on the acoustics of a hundred-year-old shophouse, and why he records the street outside as carefully as the band inside.

Side B Sessions are conversations of about fifteen minutes, filmed where the person works. This one takes place in a rehearsal room on the Thonburi side, in a shophouse with a wooden ceiling that everybody involved agrees is the best thing about the building and the hardest thing to work with.
The conversation covers what a room does to a sound before a microphone gets anywhere near it, why he leaves a window open during takes, and the recordings he keeps of the lane itself: the boat, the dogs, the eight-fifteen announcement from the school across the water.
